How to Choose the Right Size
The question we hear most — and the honest answer is simpler than you'd think.
The sofa rule
Your art should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. A 72” sofa wants around 48” of art — that's two Medium prints side by side (49” across), or a single X-Large (36.5”) if you’d rather have one statement piece with breathing room.
Match the viewing distance
Hallways and entryways are seen up close — Small and Medium shine here, where you can lean in to the detail. Living rooms and bedrooms are viewed from 8+ feet away — go Large or X-Large so the photograph reads across the room.
When in doubt, go one size up
Almost no one regrets the larger print. The number one regret in framed art is buying too small.
Our sizes
Framed dimensions are the finished, on-your-wall size — frame included. The image size is the photograph itself, inside the mat.
- Small — 13.5 × 19.5” framed · image 8 × 14”. Desk, shelf, or part of a gallery wall.
- Medium — 16.5 × 24.5” framed · image 12 × 20”. Bedroom, hallway, office.
- Large — 20.5 × 30.5” framed · image 16 × 26”. Above the sofa, dining room.
- X-Large — 24.5 × 36.5” framed · image 20 × 32”. Living room anchor, entryway.
See it at scale
The same print, four rooms — notice how the frame's presence changes with the space:
